[Interview Via Internet]TRUTH
Millionaire Rob
What or who inspires your music?
It all depends, it could be a very creative piece of art meaning a painting, photo of a beautiful woman, a classic film, or a incredible beat. If I have some good beats give me a room, with 4 walls, some snacks, cut my phone off, and let me create my magic. At one point in time a good Jay-Z or a Lil Wayne song could inspire me but once I really got into my own zone I decided not to let too much rap influence what I would create
What music did your family play during the majority of your childhood?
My older sister bought The Chronic the week it came out and I was hooked. I spent alot of time with my grandparents and they played Gospel tapes with the preachers, like an actual church session. They mostly played them for the actual message so sometimes the quality of the singing was horrendous. Other than that my mom would play Sade alot. That was actually my first concert and I can tell you I've never seen a woman move so heavenly, as you can tell from my music I love women.
How long have you been performing?
One year
How would you describe your sound/style?
Indescribable, It's definitely fresh and soulful from the actual production but my style is ever so changing. So if tried to describe it would be placing myself into a particular style but my goal is to merge genres. If you actually listen to Slow Burn each track is cohesive with each other but the style changes on each and every song from the flow to the rhyme schemes.

Why did you choose that particular name as your moniker?
It is a state of mind, my music is not about cash, money, dough, etc. but it is based upon a fly lifestyle, my life. I am not a millionaire but I am Millionaire. It's my approach to my music and business. I approach it from the eyes of a millionaire, it's a standard. What I ultimately want to represent. If you look at the images, to the music, to the studio I record in its all a standard of any major artist from a major label.
In this industry image is everything. What inspires your fashion?
I honestly very carefully look watch the trends and manipulate them in my favor. But I can say that the things I want most I cant afford at the moment but I still stay fresh
Where do you shop?
Places people doing what I'm doing wouldn't shop. I just recently did a lot of shopping, and everything was very unique and different; the shirts, shoes, the scarves, the jackets. I cant wait 'til my next photo shoot.
Why do you feel your subject matter is important?
Because it is a honest reflection of my life. My music is music that you can work to. When you get into Slow Burn you will either want to get fly and go get some pretty woman or be real creative, or both. It's music that can inspire. I get dozen of emails and messages from listeners who tell me they keep my music on repeat and play it at work.
Where are you from? How has that place contributed to your music?
Flint, Michigan. It taught me to be true to myself. Most rappers coming from Flint rap about murder and drugs 90 percent of the time. I could rap more about crime but it is not a direct reflection of my present. When I use to write about my past it kept my mind in the past and I am person that's always growing and changing and the music I was trying to create was holding me back. Now understand alot of te artists coming from where I'm from are being honest with the fact that Flint is top 10 in crime in the nation it would just be fake for me to rap that way so I stick to what my life consists of being fly, women, and learning about life.
What goals/aspirations do you have for yourself as an artist?
To inspire another individual to do something creative that will inspire others.
What projects are you currently working on?
Slow Burn II
What have you found to be the most difficult aspect of being an artist and performer?
Nothing. I love what I do and if I didn't I wouldn't do it anymore. I convinced myself early on to love everything that comes with this....the good and the bad.

How hard are you on yourself? How do you judge your performance to determine if you've done your best?
I'm very hard on myself. I push myself to the point where I can be my biggest obstacle.
What was the most embarrassing live performance you've ever had? What happened?
Can't really say, If there was one I forgot and dont like to reflect on it. I just let that moment be a moment itself and left it there.
What other artistic skills do you dabble in?
I've been drawing and painting since an adolescent, so for like the last year or so i've been getting back into design work. Also I love sampling music.
Alright now that we got all that good stuff out the way, lets have a little fun. Simply choose one or the other. If neither explain what could take its place and why.

Millionaire is the best unsigned hype I have heard in a while. I cannot wait for Slow Burn 2.
It's always a pleasure listening to Mr. Millionaire himself! We'll be waiting for more...
